¡Todo sobre el SXSW 2023! / Everything about the SXSW 2023!

-El SXSW está de regreso en Austin, TX, y se llevará cabo del 10 al 19 de marzo del 2023.

El South by Southwest es uno de los festivales de música, arte y tecnología más importantes del medio, y como de costumbre, la programación es increíble: desde presentaciones de música de leyendas como The Zombies, hasta conferencias con artistas de renombre como Robert Downey Jr. Entre muchos eventos que se llevaran a cabo durante nueve días.

El South By, como se conoce coloquialmente, es un festival muy completo e innovador, que reúne: cine, música, medios interactivos e industrias adyacentes a estos. Fue creado en 1987, y solo en 2020 y 2021 se vio interrumpido por la pandemia de Covid-19, pero se mantuvo vigente con eventos virtuales. La mayoría de los eventos se llevan a cabo en el centro de la ciudad y las conferencias usualmente se realizan en el Centro de Convenciones de Austin. Este año el festival también se realizará en Sídney, Australia, en octubre.

En el apartado de música, el festival contará con las presentaciones de leyendas como New Order, The Zombies y Killer Mike, pero lo mejor son los actos de las nuevas propuestas musicales, que sin duda alguna es emocionante conocer antes que todos.

En cuanto a cine, siempre hay una gran variedad de productos audiovisuales, desde blockbusters hasta películas independientes. Este año inaugurará el festival, la película Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, protagonizada por Chris Pine, Regé-Jean Page y Hugh Grant.

Los ponentes también son una de las partes más destacadas del festival. Ya que siempre traen a personas influyentes del momento. Este año, entre los destacados, está Tilda Swinton, reconocida actriz y cineasta; Robert Downey Jr. reconocido actor que hablará sobre el cibercrimen y su impacto mundial; y Chelsea Handler, comediante que será entrevistada en el escenario por Jen Psaki, ex secretaria de prensa de la Casa Blanca para el presidente Joe Biden y presentadora de MSNBC.

South by Southwest is one of the most important music, art and technology festivals in the field, and as usual, the programming is incredible: from music presentations by legends like The Zombies, to talks with renowned artists like Robert Downey Jr. .Among many events that will take place over nine days.
